1.        Mastercard Foundation is partnering with African Leadership University to offer 100% free Undergraduate and Post-graduate  scholarship to Africa students who are from economically disadvantaged communities but could not continue as a result of poor family background.

3. Brief description : The Mastercard Foundation Scholarship Programme(MCFSP) for African students is now open for candidates who wants to apply at African Leadership UNiversity (ALU) for 2025/2026 academic year

11. Be no older than 26 years for the undergraduate studies;
12. Meet the University's minimum admissions requirements (for program/discipline-specific information, visit  https://www.alueducation.com/apply-now/. ) and must have applied for academic admission to the University for 2025;
13. Be prepared to register for full-time undergraduate study in the school
14. Provide evidence that access to university studies is impeded by social and economic barriers.

NOTE : Candidates who intend to register for a second undergraduate degree are ineligible to apply to the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program.

7.       The African Leadership University (ALU) , Kigali, Rwanda in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation (MCF) is currently offering scholarships for high achieving African students interested in studying at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, commencing in January 2026.
   The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program (MCFSP) targets academically talented yet economically disadvantaged young people in Africa who will contribute to the transformation of the continent through their knowledge, skills, attitudes and values evidenced by their leadership. Community service and internships are essential components of the Program. The MCFSP offers a full scholarship to selected students who have been provisionally admitted to study towards an undergraduate/postgraduate degree at Uwc. Graduates must return to their home countries on completion of their studies and give back to their communities.
