- Eligibility and criteria:
- Candidates who are applying for this scholarship MUST meet up with the following criteria;
- *Must be a resident and a citizen of sub-Saharan Africa
- *Must have strong academic performance
- *Must demonstrate interest and capacity for voluntary services and school/community activities
- *Must posses leadership potential
- *Will be willing to cope with change and have interest foreign countries and culture
- *Must be financially unstable and from lowest income bracket in country of origin
- *Must be willing to return to serve their home country and enhance economic growth and social development at the end of the program
- * Must have successfully completed their secondary education with good grades
- *Transfer students are not eligible
- *Must meet up with academic qualifications for admission into Duke University, USA.
